The Men of Discipline is an alternative leather and uniform fraternity for gay men who are serious about BDSM, the leather lifestyle, and who practice discipline in their daily lives. TOP
Discipline is a way of life. A disciplined person is a well-balanced person, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. TOP
Candidates will be evaluated based on their knowledge and experience of BDSM. The Men of Discipline is open to teaching beginners who show a serious desire to learn and experience BDSM and live the leather lifestyle. TOP
We teach educational seminars about BDSM, host dungeon parties, explore the spiritual dimension of BDSM, raise money for distribution to charities, and provide opportunities for members to socialize as brothers. TOP
The four triangles of the MOD insignia stand for Brotherhood, Unity, Commitment and Discipline. The colors of the MOD insignia are those of the leather pride flag: black, blue, white and red. TOP
Those wishing to become full members undergo a Recruit Formation under the mentorship of a Drill Instructor. Recruits who pass the Recruit Formation then undertake the Initiation ritual. TOP
The Initiation is a secret BDSM ritual that makes a worthy recruit a full member. TOP

To be worthy of Initiation a recruit must take educational classes in BDSM technique and safety, set and fulfill personal goals, carry out a project to benefit the fraternity and/or community, pass an exam on BDSM technique and safety, and follow the Recruit Discipline at club functions. A worthy recruit must demonstrate his desire for Initiation through his actions and practice discipline in his daily life. TOP
A recruit follows the Recruit Discipline to show that he wants to become a Man of Discipline, as a demonstration of his personal discipline, and to show unity with the Brothers. TOP
Recruit and membership costs include a $35 recruit fee and $75 annual dues, not including the uniform. Associates pay $50 annual dues. TOP
The uniform costs about $200, depending on whether or not you already have certain items like Army boots, Sam Browne belt, etc. TOP |
